Simon Jewell
Simon Jewell was born in 1972 in Oxford. At the age of 13, he developed an early interest in drawing and received an Art Scholarship. Simon studied at Falmouth and Lincoln Art college and left with a HND in Graphics and illustration. In 2008, he moved to Cornwall with his wife Rebecca and now resides on the Lizard Peninsula where he continues to paint from his studio.
He masterfully captures the Atlantic ocean and Cornish scenes of his home territory in all its various states of emotion .
Compositions that draw the viewer in right from the bottom to great space in the distance .
These pieces add atmosphere, space ,distance and emotional atmosphere .
